Yay, Obama! For the last two days my muscles have ached, and I'm sure it's because I've been holding them clenched for months in hope for his election. Yay for the release!
But I feel sad when I read about GOP lawyers going to Alaska to retrieve Sarah Palin's new clothes. It just feels yucky. The woman was vacuum-packed and transported to another world to be a rabid, vocal robot. Of course she needed new clothes!
And what's the good in taking them from her now? Will people bid on the clothes and the money will go to charity?
Sarah Palin and I are the same age. We both have young children. I have a lot of gray hair and some roundness so I'm able to see our vast differences. However, she and I both live in the Pacific Northwest, and I think it's just stupid to keep a lot of high heels around when you mostly have to step in mud to get anywhere. Also, it's stupid to wear fancy clothes when you are a mom to a young person because they vomit or pee on you all the time. So, ummm.... give the woman some room to buy age-appropriate, classy clothes for doing the BIG NEW JOB that was thrust on her by others.
Granted, I think I could accomplish the same image overhaul in 10K, but -- please -- show the lady of Alaska some kindness.
(I can't believe I wrote this post.)
I was thinking the same thing. She lost. Lets stop dissing on her. No one needs that...and its not the way you act like a good winner.
