hope

This morning, E and I went up to my mom's house to bring her some pumpkin soup.  After all of the Halloween hoopla, E decided to wear her new special holiday dress and her new cowboy boots to show Grandma.

E twirled and stomped.  My mom couldn't get enough of her and almost lept from her watching spot to give E a big hug before we left.  That was more emotion -- emotion of any kind -- than I've seen from my mom in years.
