equinox

Happy Spring!  I'm tired, but I always try to post on spring equinox. 

We're making painfully slow progress over at Curious Farm.  The chickens are healthy, and we're finding a lot of joy in being around them.  It's way more fun to dig when the older chicks are out there in the garden with me. 

Really, it's been a very challenging year for us.  (It's too painful for me even to outline the challenges tonight!)  But I'm proud of us for moving forward even though we're scared and feel like we don't have enough to accomplish what we want to do.  We've felt pretty lonely this year, and we're bone-tired.  But we're still working on Curious Farm and trying to make it real.  Isn't that cool?  How are we doing that?  I don't know either.  It's just a funny/weird/happy thing. 

I send you happy spring energy.  I hope you're feeling new life and renewed passion.  I hope you'll let yourself be open to new and unexpected adventures.  I hope you will nourish something fragile within your heart.  I hope you'll eat more leafy greens -- you know you need them!

Seeing activity in the garden makes me happy and impatient at the same time.
