Tomorrow is my birthday.  I said, "Self, what do you want for your birthday?"

"A clean kitchen,"  I answered easily.

So I cleaned the damn kitchen today so that all day long tomorrow I can know the kitchen is clean. 

Is that self-nurturing?  Or is it pathetic?

I cleaned the stove.  I oiled the cabinets.  I dusted everything.  Tomorrow morning when everyone is awake I'll vacuum in there.  And then I won't clean anything else all day long except my own bottom because I can still do that, thankfully.

Belated Happy Birthday!! It's amazing how many of my favorite people have birthdays right around the beginning of June....like you and my husband for instance! I hope you enjoyed the clean kitchen!
